Koen Schobbers’ career as an esports athlete started in 2007 in the game Trackmania. He was the first Dutch esports player to receive a so called ‘topsportstatus’ in 2017, a status that is granted to top athletes in the Netherlands. This made it possible for him to combine his career with his Master in Medicine. Koen is also the founder of Parents of Play, helping parents to repair, retain or reinforce the relationship with their gaming child. He has also worked with brands like Vodafone, Spinnin’ Records and KIA Motors to help them with campaigns in the industry.
