Principal Director COX ArchitectureAlastair Richardson, Principal Director of Cox Architecture, is one of the preeminent sports architects in Asia Pacific, designing and delivering projects of global significance which deliver a fans first experience, while providing enhanced revenue for owners and operators. Alastair has been at the forefront of sports design for the past 25 years and is currently the director for the redevelopment of the Sydney Football Stadium. Alastair was also project principal for the highly acclaimed Optus Stadium in Perth, and Adelaide Oval Redevelopments
Alastair’s extensive sport work has allowed him to develop strategies that assist clients and Governments in the creation of new developments. His strategic and future insights have helped define the needs of major sporting infrastructure throughout the Asia Pacific.
His work has been recognised internationally and locally with numerous architectural and industry awards. Alastair is a regular contributor to conferences and international publications.
